Run SSC CGL Tier 1 mock tests on your own WordPress site
For coaching institutes and test-series sellers preparing students for SSC CGL. Turgor Exam Engine turns your question bank into a computer-based mock that scores the way Tier 1 does, and shows students where they stand against everyone else who sat it.
The SSC CGL Tier 1 pattern
| Section | Questions | Marks | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| General Intelligence & Reasoning | 25 | 50 | 15 min |
| General Awareness | 25 | 50 | 15 min |
| Quantitative Aptitude | 25 | 50 | 15 min |
| English Comprehension | 25 | 50 | 15 min |
| Total | 100 | 200 | 60 min |
Each correct answer is worth 2 marks and each wrong answer costs 0.50. From the 2026 cycle every section has its own 15-minute timer and closes when it runs out.
Set up a SSC CGL Tier 1 mock in Turgor Exam Engine
The exam engine on this page (sections, negative marking per section, "evaluate first N", fullscreen lockdown and the CBT palette), bulk question import and the student dashboard are part of Turgor Exam Engine Pro. The free Turgor Exam Engine plugin covers courses, lessons and quizzes.
- Create one exam with four topics: Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English.
- Set 2 points per question in your import file, and turn on negative marking at 0.50 for each topic.
- Set the duration to 60 minutes and turn on fullscreen lockdown and randomised question order.
- Load the question bank from Excel, Word, JSON or a live Google Sheet. Give each question its section in the Category column and its marks in the Points column; LaTeX in questions and options renders through MathJax.
Good to know: Turgor Exam Engine runs one 60-minute timer for the whole paper, so students can move between sections freely. To practise the 2026 rule of 15 minutes per section, publish each section as its own 15-minute mock as well.
What your students get
- A CBT-style question palette: answered, not answered, not visited, marked for review, and answered & marked, with Save & Next and Mark for Review controls.
- A server-side timer that keeps running if the page is closed and submits the paper automatically at zero.
- Fullscreen lockdown: leaving fullscreen is logged, and the exam submits itself after three exits.
- An instant result with score, class average, percentile and per-question explanations, plus a score trend across retakes.
- A student dashboard with per-course scores, percentiles, streaks and an automatic “lessons to revisit” list.
Common questions
