The exam engine on this page (sections, negative marking per section, "evaluate first N", fullscreen lockdown and the CBT palette), bulk question import and the student dashboard are part of Turgor Exam Engine Pro. The free Turgor Exam Engine plugin covers courses, lessons and quizzes.

  1. Create two exams, GS Paper I and CSAT, each with a 120-minute duration.
  2. For GS, set 2 points per question and negative marking of 0.66; for CSAT, 2.5 points and 0.83.
  3. Set the CSAT passing percentage to 33% so the result screen shows qualified or not qualified.
  4. Tag GS questions by subject (Polity, History, Geography, Economy, Environment, Science, Current Affairs) so the dashboard shows subject-wise accuracy.
  5. Load the question bank from Excel, Word, JSON or a live Google Sheet. Give each question its section in the Category column and its marks in the Points column; LaTeX in questions and options renders through MathJax.

What your students get

  • A CBT-style question palette: answered, not answered, not visited, marked for review, and answered & marked, with Save & Next and Mark for Review controls.
  • A server-side timer that keeps running if the page is closed and submits the paper automatically at zero.
  • Fullscreen lockdown: leaving fullscreen is logged, and the exam submits itself after three exits.
  • An instant result with score, class average, percentile and per-question explanations, plus a score trend across retakes.
  • A student dashboard with per-course scores, percentiles, streaks and an automatic “lessons to revisit” list.

Common questions

Can students see which subjects cost them marks?

Yes. Tag questions by subject, and the result screen breaks the score down topic by topic.

Can I run full-length and sectional tests?

Yes. Build full papers and short subject tests from the same tagged question bank.
