Appearance
Presets, your brand colour, corners, fonts, lesson tiles and a colour per course, for every student screen.

Appearance makes every student screen match your brand: course pages, lessons, quizzes, the My courses grid, the course catalog and the Continue learning card. Changes apply to your whole site the moment you save, and switching the add-on off returns the site to the free plugin’s look.
Open the Appearance screen
- Turn on Appearance under Turgor Exam Engine → Addons.
- Click Settings on its card, or choose Appearance from the Addons flyout in the menu.
Start from a preset
A preset sets the brand colour, the success and error colours, the corner radius and the font in one click. It is a starting point, not a mode: after applying one you can change anything and save.
- Academy – confident blue, friendly curves.
- Exam hall – near-black, square corners, no decoration.
- Forest – calm teal with a serif voice.
- Sunrise – warm orange, rounder and lighter.
- Minimal – quiet grey that stays out of the way.
Brand colour
Pick any colour from the colour box, or type it as a hex code (for example #4d7c0f). Use my theme’s colour instead clears it. Saving the form without touching the brand colour leaves it as it was.
Success and error colours
Success is used for passed and correct, Error for not passed and wrong. Each has a colour box and a hex box, and the screen checks the contrast: Readable on white, or Hard to read on white when the colour falls below 4.5:1. If you see the warning, try a darker shade.
Shape and type
- Corner radius – 0 is square, 28 is very round. Leave it blank to keep the default.
- Font – Same as my theme, System UI (clean, fast), Humanist sans (friendly), Serif (academic) or Monospace (technical).
Course screens
- Layout – Tiles shows a card per lesson with its quiz inside it; List shows plain rows. This applies to the course page and to a lesson’s contents.
- Tile size – Compact (more per row), Comfortable or Roomy (fewer, larger tiles).
- Tile style – Outlined, Soft (tinted, no border) or Raised (a shadow lifts each tile).
Colour per course
Give a course its own brand colour, used on its page and on every lesson and quiz inside it. Choose the course, pick its colour and save. To remove one, set its course back to None.
Preview and save
The Preview card shows a sample course card with In progress, Passed and Not passed states in your saved settings. Click Save Changes to apply the look across the site.
If the screen says Appearance needs a newer Turgor Exam Engine, update the free plugin first: nothing on this screen takes effect until you do.
